Dressage trainer and CHA certified instructor Andrea Briones
has over 27 years experience breaking riding down to easy exercises.

Integrated Training combines European classical training and alternative problem solving techniques suchas in-hand work, balanced seat riding, saddle fitting and acupressure sports massage.

Andrea Briones has developed this system over the past 27 years. The focus is physical conditioning of the horse, learning to use your seat to control your horse, teaching you to train your own equine.

Since studying horse science in college on the west coast and working with many trainers on the east coast, Andrea has developed the integrated training system for her students and their horses. She will teach you what she has learned so you can successfully train your own horse or just be the best rider you can.

THE BRIONES TRAINING SYSTEM


For Kids

The training system consists of a well rounded lesson structure in which young people become competent riders as well as care for and understand horses in fun, challenging sessions. This is often a young person's first chance to take charge and practice their leadership skills.

In the first 4 sessions students learn how our equine companions think, how to approach, lead, basic grooming, parts of the horse and equipment, and be able to steer the horse at the walk and trot in 3 positions.

Learning to ride and communicate with a horse can be a grounding experience which organizes the brain and helps to build self esteem. Besides being challenging and fun, climbing upon a large animal and learning to control the motion and direct it requires the best that each person has in them that day and results in a lasting growth experience.

I like to work in small groups of 3 to six as horse activities lend themselves well to social support and camaraderie.
